Hackney Downs - the sun was out and so was the YHPSCL for the final time this season for one more grass track and this time we finally had the right conditions for the track bikes. The grass had been cut and it was nice and dry. After a bit practise on the fixed wheel bikes the riders from Millfields , Jubilee and Olive schools redid themselves for an afternoon of track action in a mini omnium. Each rider rode four races - a one lap time trial, then a a 3 lap scratch race, a handicap sprint and finishing with elimination races.

The race were closely contested throughout with all the riders seemingly adapting to track racing with ease.

The final result was that once again Millfields Primary School topped the table to keep hold of the shield with Jubilee in a close second and Parkwood third. Well done to all the riders who took part this season and thanks to the schools, staff and parents who got them along to the races and thanks to Young Hackney whose support keeps the league going.
With plans afoot to change the format a bit next season will Jubilee win next time or could it be a school that's not won it before? Lets see what happens 2019-20 season will start in October - see you then.
